Building For Greater
Strategic Planning For The Future
In July of this year Overseer L. J. Anderson shared what God had laid on his heart for our ministry during this season. He emphasized the importance of ministry in 2012 as “12″ is the number of governance, administration and bringing order to our house. Overseer Anderson was also overjoyed at the overwhelming commitment of our leadership to take our ministry “from good to great” over the next few years. Since then our leadership and congregation has been involved in the process toward restructuring how we do ministry.
In 1 Corinthians 3:10-12 the apostle Paul writes:
According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
And, in Ephesians 2:19-22 he notes:
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit
In light of these passages it is so important that all we do in ministry matches up with our vision. This means that all we do must reflect the mission of Creating a Place to MEET: Ministering to the Whole Person; Evangelizing the Lost; Equipping Members to be Ministers and; Teaching the Body of Christ. It is our earnest prayer that at EBC: The MEETing Place, everything we do will fulfill our vision of making the meeting between you and God a viable reality.
