Grow Your Life
EBC GROW is the theme for the Christian Education Department at EBC: The MEETing Place. In Keeping with our vision the aim of the department is to equip members to be ministers and teach the body of Christ. Our mission is to help cultivate disciples who, through sound teaching, can own their faith and become witnesses for the gospel of Christ to their world. This is why G.R.O.W. is the acronym for Growing Righteous Obedient Witnesses.
The G.R.O.W. philosophy is based on Colossians 2:6-8 which states; “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Our New Believers classes are geared for those who are “relatively” new in their experience with Christ. As a believer these classes are geared to give you a good foundation for developing an intimate and lasting relationship with Christ. Once a person accepts Christ we strongly encourage them to be baptized. All baptized believers (as well as those who wish to transfer their membership or join our family based on Christian experience) must attend the respective courses in order to join our congregation. Spiritual Formation classes are designed to appeal to believers who seek deeper meaning out of their relationship with God. There is a strong emphasis to be rooted and establish in God by applying what we learn in the various courses to our everyday experiences. SatelLIGHT Small Groups are tailored to meet the needs of those who prefer a group style learning experience. People meet together in small groups to study the fellowship, worship, study, and grow in God. Our Leadership and Development courses are geared toward volunteers, Deacons, and Ministers who serve EBC: The MEETing Place as leaders. These classes are designed to help every member become a minister who serves God according to their heartbeat, their gifting, and their God-ordained calling. The Bible Reading Plan is an online resources tailored to help you study the word on a daily basis. It is our sincere prayer that you will Grow Your Life in every area possible.
