Rev. Dr. Lennett J. Anderson, CD
Lennett J. Anderson is the Senior Pastor of EBC: The MEETing Place, Upper Hammonds Plains, NS. Named by MacLean’s Magazine as “one of five Canadian Pastors who are breathing new life into their communities,” he has been identified as a source of inspiration and encouragement to many. Since returning to his home church in 1999 Pastor Anderson’s leadership has led to the formation of a blended community of worshippers who meet to exemplify unity within the Body of Christ.

Rev. Dr. Anderson is a sought after speaker with a dynamic presentation and message. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, he serves on the faculty of Acadia Divinity College as Lecturer in Leadership and Racial Justice. He is also a retired commissioned Officer in the Canadian Forces where he served as Unit Chaplain for HMCS SCOTIAN.

His passion for community is evident through his contributions as consultant for the Halifax Regional School Board on leadership and race relations, as a member of the Halifax Regional Municipality Chief of Police Roundtable on Diversity and Race Relations, as Past Moderator of the African United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia, as an Advisory Council Member, Dalhousie University African Nova Scotian Strategy, Corporation Board Member for Promise Keepers Canada, Member of the African Nova Scotian (DPAD) Decade for People of African Decent Coalition, Regional Ambassador for Teen Challenge Atlantic Men’s Centre, and as a former board member of the Nova Scotia Chapter of the Children’s Wish Foundation.

Rev. Dr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University and a Master of Divinity degree from Acadia Divinity College. He also received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Christian College.

He has been recognized with numerous awards including: The 2016 ADC Alumni Distinguished Service Award (Acadia University School of Theology); The Canadian Forces Decoration Medal (2009), The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012) The Platinum Jubilee Halifax West Community Hero Award (2022); the Acadia University Medal in Theology (2000); and inclusion in Who’s Who in Black Canada 2 (2006).

Rev. Dr. Anderson is married to Dr. Késa Munroe-Anderson and together they have two sons and a daughter.

Rev. Carl PriceCarl-Price
Pastor Carl Price is Pastor Emeritus at EBC:  The MEETing Place.  He has been married to Carol (Nee Cudmore) for over 50 years.  They are the proud parents and grandparents of 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Although retired from over 50 years of formal Pastoral Ministry, Pastor Carl Price now serves on the Pastoral team at EBC: The MEETing Place as the Pastor of Care and Visitation Ministries.  In this capacity he provides care and leadership primarily to seniors.  He brings a wealth of experience to the pastoral team.

Because of his humility, Pastor Price enjoys “coming alongside” in most situations and has never asked anyone to complete a task he would not do himself.  He is a “people” person who enjoys both visiting people and entertaining people in his home for fellowship.   Pastor Price is careful never to assume that people he meets are all true believers, therefore, he uses every opportunity to present the love of God.  He is a gifted and compassionate Evangelist who truly has a heart for all to come to a saving knowledge of Christ.


Rev. Andrew Doucette

Andrew Doucette is the Associate Pastor of Connections at EBC The MEETing place. Pastor Andrew is a graduate of Summit Pacific College (Abbotsford, BC), where he studied Pastoral Theology. He has 10 years of Pastoral experience, which includes serving in both Halifax, Nova Scotia and Miramichi, New Brunswick.

With years of experience in directing small group ministries and community outreaches, Pastor Andrew is highly relational and intentional on building relationships within the church and the community. His heart’s passion is “To see God’s people fulfill God’s purpose,” by equipping the church to fulfill the call of God on their lives.
Pastor Andrew is a gifted communicator; he has spoken at various camps and events throughout the Maritimes, and loves the opportunity to work with people of all ages. Pastor Andrew is married to Heidi Doucette, and they have 2 beautiful daughters.

Rev. Andrea Anderson

Andrea Anderson serves as the Assistant Pastor of Administration and Leadership Development at EBC: The MEETing Place.  Pastor Andrea is married to Eugene Anderson and they have two adult children.

Pastor Andrea holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Human Resources and Marketing from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Acadia Divinity College.  Presently, she is employed as the Human Resources Managing Director with the Public Service Commission, Province of Nova Scotia. 

Since coming to Emmanuel Baptist in 2003, Pastor Andrea has served on the Intercessory Prayer Team, Altar Care Ministry, Worship Team, Women of Influence, Chair of Staff Relations, Board of Directors and has facilitated various bible study classes.  Presently, she serves as the Clergy Supervisor for the Provincial Baptist Youth Fellowship of the African United Baptist Association of NS.

Pastor Andrea has experienced the life changing power of God. It is her desire that God would use her ministry, so that others can also experience the transformational power of God in their lives.
Minister Jonathan Bell
Minister Jonathan Bell is the Director of Youth & Young Adults at EBC: The MEEting Place.  As a graduate of Emmanuel’s Minister’s Mentorship Program (MMP), he gives oversight to the mentorship process that happens with youth and helps them to move from a passive understanding of Christ to a passionate relationship with Him.

Minister Bell hails from Ottawa, Ontario in Canada but strongly claims his Jamaican roots.  He is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.  He is married to Emily Bell who also serves as a leader in Emmanuel’s Youth and Young Adult Department.

Owen Lee 

Owen Lee is a worshiper and musician from Toronto, Ontario, who relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia. He now serves as the Music Director at EBC, The Meeting Place. God called Owen to be a Minister of Music as a teenager, and he has been active in ministry ever since. He served in ministry at The Prayer Palace Church in Toronto for 13 years as a Pianist, Worship Leader, and Choir Director. He was the Vocal Arranger/Director of the Divine Worship Chorale, under the leadership of Brian Hamilton, whose sophomore album ‘Chosen’ peaked at #4 on the iTunes Inspirational Music Charts in 2013. Owen was awarded the 2014 ‘Male Vocalist of The Year’ by the Canadian Glass Awards. Owen is currently enrolled in the Undergraduate program at York University, studying for his Bachelor of Fine-Arts in Music, specializing in Vocal Performance. Owen is married to Larissa Lee, and together they have two sons: Ayden & Ethan, and three daughters: Imani, Nylah & Aria.


Erin Bartlett

Erin Bartlett is the Coordination of Communications & Programming (specifically the Director of Children’s Ministry) at EBC: The MEETing Place. She has studied at Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY, completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Acadia University and has continued her studies at NSCC in Early Childhood Education.

Erin has worked with children as an Early Childhood Educator for over 8 years, and her experience extends beyond teaching in a classroom setting. From an early age, Erin has been actively involved in various Sunday schools, VBS and summer camps. She enjoys pairing her knowledge and love for music with her passion for children’s ministry.

Erin, is blessed to be the mother of three girls: Sophie, Naomi & Ava-Joy
