Cultivators of Greatness in Youth.

Minister Jonathan Bell
Minister Jonathan Bell serves as the Pastor of Youth at Emmanuel.  As a graduate of Emmanuel’s Minister’s Mentorship Program (MMP), he gives oversight to the mentorship process that happens with youth and helps them to move from a passive understanding of Christ to a passionate relationship with Him.  Min Jonathan believes in instilling good morals in youth that allows them to stand apart from the world.  His challenge to youth is to live “transformed” lives that allow them to stand out in a crowd as a child of God.  He speaks and leads with strong conviction of his call, a deep understanding of the responsibility of the lives of youth that God has entrusted to his leadership and with a heart to serve God faithfully.

When Jonathan is not serving youth he is busy teaching at Bedford Academy, coaching Basketball teams or spending time with his wife Emily Bell.  He spends the remainder of his time speaking at youth events, playing soccer and basketball or spending time with his wife Emily.

Emily Bell
Emily Bell serves youth at EBC: The Meeting Place with a passion to help young people recognize who they truly are in God’s eyes.  She is also passionate about helping to mentor youth as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and come to know him as both Savior and Lord.  Emily seeks to offer the love of Jesus to young people by being sincere about building caring relationships with them.  Together with Minister Jonathan Bell, Emily seeks to serve and disciple young people towards a fruitful life with Christ.

When Emily is not mentoring youth, she is teaching Physical Education with the Halifax Regional School Board.  She is also actively involved in the ministry of GROC, Halifax’s largest sidewalk Sunday school and visitation program.  At other times she is stepping with the STOMP team, playing basketball or having fun.

Delali Motey
Delali Motey has been inspiring youth and serving in the Youth Ministry at Emmanuel since 2007.  He has a genuine heart for inspiring young people to pursue their Godly greatness.  Delali believes in the importance of our ministry because “it provides a safe and comfortable environment for young people to have fun and express themselves.”

When he is not serving youth, Delali is working as a Business Analyst in the financial industry or spending time with his wife Mercy Motey.  The remainder of his time is spent coaching soccer, playing basketball and either watching or playing soccer.
