FINANCE COMMITTEE

Jehoash said to the priests, “All the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of the Lord, the money for which each man is assessed—the money from the assessment of persons—and the money that a man’s heart prompts him to bring into the house of the Lord, let the priests take, each from his donor, and let them repair the house wherever any need of repairs are discovered.” – 2 Kings 12:4-5

Ministry Profile

The finance committee is responsible for proper management of the finances of EBC: The Meeting Place.  In doing so, the committee is responsible for the proper governance and conducting of the financial affairs of EBC and for preparation of the annual budget.

Volunteers who serve on the finance committee exemplify characteristics of integrity, trustworthiness, confidentiality, and accountability.  Also, being highly motivated and team oriented is essential to the efficient functioning of this committee.   Finance committee volunteers who have an understanding of accounting and financial calculations are considered an asset to our mission to be good stewards.  However, such training is not essential.
