Minister Owen Lee is a worshiper and musician from Toronto, Ontario, who relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2014. He has served as the Music Director of EBC, The Meeting Place ever since his relocation to the East Coast and was commissioned as a Minister in 2022. God called Owen into ministry as a teenager, and he has been active ever since. He served in ministry at The Prayer Palace Church in Toronto for 13 years as a Pianist, Worship Leader, and Choir Director. He is the former Vocal Arranger/Director of the Divine Worship Chorale, under the leadership of Brian Hamilton (2007-2014) as well as the former Director of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir (2014-2019).
Owen is the recipient of numerous awards and nominations from the African Nova Scotian Music Association, Music Nova Scotia, and the East Coast Music Association. In 2022, Owen was honored with the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for exceptional service in Arts, Community Service and Volunteerism in Nova Scotia, presented to him by Lieutenant Governor Arthur J. LeBlanc.
Owen is married to Larissa Lee, and together they have five children, Ayden, Ethan, Imani, Aria, and Nylah.
